1. Basic Information
This product is milky white plastic grains. It is clean and has little smell.
Manufacturer: North Huajin Chemical Industries Group (Panjin Petrochemical / Panjin Ethylene)
Product Type: Hexene copolymer low-pressure high-density polyethylene (HDPE)
2. Material Properties (Typical values, tested at 23℃)
Density: 0.954–0.955 g/cm³ (ISO 1183)
Melt Mass Flow Rate (190℃/2.16kg): Average 0.30 g/10min, range: 0.25–0.35 g/10min
Tensile Yield Strength: Minimum 24 MPa, average 26–27 MPa
Flexural Modulus: Minimum 800 MPa, average 1200 MPa. The material has good hardness.
Charpy Notched Impact Strength (23℃, ISO 179-1): 14–18 kJ/m²
Environmental Stress Cracking Resistance (ESCR, F50): Over 150 h (ASTM D1693)
Vicat Softening Point: 124–127°C
Brittleness Temperature: Below -60 ℃. It keeps good toughness in extremely cold conditions.
3. Core Product Advantages
Superior Environmental Stress Cracking Resistance (ESCR)
Its F50 ESCR index exceeds 150 hours. It greatly reduces cracking and leakage risks under long-term contact with daily detergents, lubricants and mild industrial chemicals, ideal for reusable cyclic packaging and general industrial liquid containers.Note: Long-term storage of strong corrosive solvents will gradually degrade performance; compatibility testing is mandatory before filling pesticide or high-corrosion chemical liquids.
High Melt Strength Ensures Stable Continuous Blow Molding
Ultra-low melt flow characteristic greatly suppresses melt sagging during extrusion, effectively minimizing common defects such as parison collapse and melt breakage. Finished hollow parts feature even wall thickness and smooth uniform surface, supporting efficient high-speed production of small hollow containers.
Balanced Rigidity & Low-Temperature Toughness for Long Service Life
High flexural modulus prevents permanent deformation during stacking and transportation. It retains reliable anti-impact performance down to -60 ℃, resisting cracking caused by dropping and collision in cold storage and logistics, cutting finished product breakage loss rate.Reminder: This base HDPE contains no dedicated UV stabilizers; long-term continuous outdoor exposure will trigger yellowing and aging, anti-UV masterbatch blending is required for permanent outdoor use.
Food-Grade Low Migration Formula for Multi-Scenario Compliance
It complies with China GB 4806.6-2016 and U.S. FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 food contact regulations, with ultra-low additive precipitation. It can be directly applied to food-grade hollow packaging production.
4. Typical Applications
Main use: Blow molded containers below 25L
Daily chemical packaging: Shampoo bottles, laundry barrels, body wash bottles
Food packaging: Edible oil bottles, sauce bottles, water containers
Chemical packaging: 20L chemical barrels, lubricant bottles. Do chemical resistance tests first before making pesticide bottles.
It can also be made into plastic sheets, bottle caps, or mixed with other plastics to change performance.
5. Recommended Blow Molding Processing Parameters
Barrel Temperature: 180–220 ℃. Raise the temperature slowly from feed inlet to nozzle.
Mold Temperature: 20–40 ℃. Change the value according to product wall thickness.
Blow Pressure: 0.4–0.8 MPa. 0.5–0.7 MPa works best for regular products.
Drying: You do not need to dry the material normally. If grains get wet, dry them at 60–70°C for 1 hour.
Blending: Mix it with LLDPE or POE to make the material tougher. Do not add more than 20% recycled plastic. Too much recycled material will make it easier to crack and shorten service life.
6. Quality Assurance & Service
Genuine goods: We get products from official authorized channels. We provide quality test reports for every batch.
Compliance Documents: We offer full certificates for food contact, RoHS and REACH. These documents meet requirements for export worldwide.
Technical Support: We provide free samples, complete technical files and on-site production guidance.
7. FAQ
Q1: Will containers molded from Huajin HD5502S crack when loaded with daily chemicals or lubricants?A: This grade delivers outstanding ESCR performance with F50 index over 150 hours, which effectively lowers cracking and leakage risks during long-term storage of mild daily chemicals and lubricants. Compatibility test is required for strong corrosive solvents.
Q2: Do we need to dry the material before use?A: No. Drying is not required for normally stored grains. If grains take in moisture, dry them at 60–70 ℃ for 1 hour.
Q3: Can we use this material for food packaging?A: Yes. It meets domestic and FDA food contact rules. If you make medicine packaging, please check if it fits related medicine packaging standards such as YBB.
Q4: What else can HD5502S be used for besides blow molding?A: Apart from hollow blow molding, it can also be used for plastic sheets, bottle caps and material blending.
