In the 1L–30L small blow molding industry, almost every packaging factory uses 5502 series HDPE. On the surface, the three main 5502 systems — Shell, Dushanzi, and Panjin — appear similar. The three mainstream 5502 grades may look similar on paper, but their application paths are completely different. There is no single "best" grade — only the one that best fits your specific scenario.
Shell B5502A targets the high-end export and food-grade segment. It offers the strongest overall performance, best toughness, and highest gloss — ideal for premium food oil containers, export daily chemical packaging, and low-temperature environments. Its advantage is top-tier quality; its drawbacks are high cost and tight supply. For ordinary daily chemical plants, cost-effectiveness is extremely low.
Dushanzi 500 targets precision products and high-rigidity applications. It delivers outstanding rigidity and dimensional stability, suitable for small chemical containers requiring high precision. However, its melt adaptability is moderate, making thin-wall, high-speed mass production more difficult to dial in.
PanJin HIPS 825 targets mass production and high cost-effectiveness. This is one of the few domestic copolymer HDPE grades specifically designed for general-purpose small blow molding. It doesn't pursue extreme high-end performance — instead, it delivers wide processing tolerance, excellent batch stability, reliable crack resistance, ample supply, and the lowest overall cost. It perfectly addresses the industry's two biggest dilemmas: unreliable off-grade materials and overly expensive premium grades.

5. Precise Scenario Matching: Which Factories Are Suitable for 5502S?
Best suited for: 1–30L daily chemical packaging (laundry detergent, dish soap, shampoo), civilian edible oil containers, regular agricultural pesticide bottles, and high-volume standardized civil blow molding production.
Not recommended for: High-end export products destined for extremely cold regions, 25L+ thick-wall industrial drums, or premium EU/US food-grade orders (these require Shell B5502A).
